On Wednesday, January 17, sales students in second year visited the Lidl supermarket on Casanovas Street. The sales manager, Cristian Martinez, explained to us the ins and outs of team management. He told us about their line of products, their policy of promotions and the system they use to stack the shelves. We have also learnt about how sales are controlled and about different profitability ratios.
Students in Guiding have performed the role of tour leaders to guide an itinerary of BCIN (Cultural Patrimony of National Interest). This has been a very enriching experience.
On November 29th, three morning groups - 1st and 2nd year of Administrative Management and 1st year of Commercial Activities - and three afternoon groups -1st and 2nd year of Commercial Activities and 2nd year of Marketing and Advertising - attended the talk of the TV3 Marathon, devoted this year to infectious diseases.

2nd year students in Sales Management have joined the “Put on your Cap” campaign. This event started in many markets on November 24th and 25th.
Students in 1st year of Tourism have taken part in an itinerary that includes unique establishments of the center of Barcelona. Among others, they have visited the Fargas Chocolate Factory with and its centennial cocoa grinder.
As we have been doing in the past, this year the Institute Lluïsa Cura is cooperating with the Food Bank in order to ease the suffering of families in need. Students in the 2nd year of Marketing and Advertising have designed activities to encourage students, teachers and non- academic staff to participate in the collection of food for this year's campaign.
1st year students in Transport and Logistics visited the new showroom of Mecalux to study how the latest advances in automatic warehouses allow us to manage and optimize processes such as storage, preparation and delivery of goods.
Our programme coordinator, Maria Zabala, has taken part in the training course Erasmus + held in Santander on the 26th and 27th of October, 2017.
